Verona, one of the most prosperous cities in northern

Italy, is constantly expanding, the interaction between the classic and the new lending it a special charm difficult to resist for tourists. What to see in Verona?

Casa di Giulietta
Since we started the story with Shakespeare’s tragedy, you cannot miss Juliet’s House, one of the oldest edifices in town dating back to the fourteenth century and a true example of Gothic architecture. All those who set off on the pilgrimage of lovers and sufferers have to buy a 6-euro ticket and can leave letters to Juliet, but they can also do it by emails from the computers inside, which will necessarily be answered by “Juliet’s assistants”.

Piazza bra
The square that offers some attractions which you see by walking around the central garden with the artesian fountain. See the Philharmonic Academy of 1543, which has rare collections of manuscripts and musical instruments, the Philharmonic Theatre, and the Barbieri Palace, which now houses the City Hall of the city. Do not miss the Verona Arena, the largest amphitheatre of Northern Italy, specially built for gladiator battles.

Via Mazzini
It’s a holiday for shopping lovers in Verona, the city offering them a wealth of renowned shops that you find on Mazzini street, which runs between Piazza Bra and Piazza delle Erbe. Do not miss the Disney store, to the children’s delight, and Corso Santa Anastasia street is waiting for you with numerous antique shops where you can find and buy authentic masterpieces.

The Piazza dei Signori
Or Piazza Dante, former medieval political centre. The Lamberti Tower, 83 m high, offers a beautiful view of the city, you can climb up the justice scale to admire the best panorama.

Church of Santa Anastasia
The largest church in Verona built of red brick, in Gothic style, between the 13th and the 15th centuries and located in the medieval centre of the city.
