Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It offers beautiful experiences, both cultural and artistic, a fascinating place of light and shadow.

What are you going to visit in Amsterdam?

Amsterdam’s canals

Due to the many canals here, Amsterdam has also been called the "Venice of the North". These were the main transport arteries around the city, but they remained waterways. A visit to the city is considered incomplete if you don’t take a boat ride, which stretches farther than 100 kilometers.

Museumplein

It’s a large market in the city center, where the most important museums are concentrated. The famous Royal Concertgebouw is also here.

Amsterdam Botanic Garden (Hortus Botanicus)

The largest, oldest and most attractive botanical garden. It has over 6,000 plants, and some plants are trully unique, such as the agave cacti, which is over 2,000 years old.

Windmills

There are 8 totally fabulous windmills, located near the city center.

Begijnhof district and flower market

The Begijnhof is a small building with a courtyard and a church. A quiet place, but of rare beauty.

The flower market is home to a lot of tulips, and if it's not their season, then here's a great variety of flower bulbs and seeds.

Magere Brug

It is a bridge built in the typical Dutch style, which connects the banks of the river Amstel, and its name comes from the particularly narrow width. Approximately every 20 minutes the bridge opens to allow the ships to pass.

The Red Lantern District

In the evening all the red lights come on and it is the center of the entertainment. There are two museums here: the Prostitution Museum and the Marijuana Museum.

Foodhallen

A food court set up in a former of a car barn. There are numerous stands with fresh and delicious food, from sushi, pizza, Greek food, hot dogs and burgers, Vietnamese, Iberian or Mexican food.

Food

Dutch cheese should be tasted, especially Gouda, Edam or Maasdammer.

"Rookworst" is a smoked Dutch sausage. The taste is comparable to a hot dog, but it is still bigger and crispier.

Appelart is a traditional Dutch apple pie.
