Visa-free travel to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is possible on the basis of a valid passport or identity card as follows:

- To travel to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, NON-RESIDENT European citizens can only travel on the basis of their passport, starting from 1 October 2021. On the basis of an identity card, non-resident citizens will not be able to travel.

- Citizens who obtained the title of RESIDENT, until 30 June 2021, can still travel based on their identity card, without the need for a passport, until 31 December, 2025.

European citizens have the right to reside for a period of up to three months in the United Kingdom, without any conditions or formalities, except for the requirement to have a valid identity card or passport, as required above.
