New Travel Rules for travelinig to Italy!

From September 1st, 2021, new rules for travelling to Italy have come into force:

  • All citizens who hold vaccination certificates (with one of the vaccines: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson) must NOT self-isolate. For those who have not received both doses of vaccine, self-isolation for 5 days is mandatory, and at the end of this period a COVID test is required.
  • All citizens traveling from the Republic of Moldova (regardless of nationality), are required to present at boarding and entry into Italy, a negative result of the molecular or PCR COVID-19 test, performed no earlier than 72 hours before arrival. Without a negative test result, travelers will not be able to enter the country.

NOTE!

All passengers accessing the sterile areas (airport) of Italy (in both entry and exit directions) must present the vaccination certificate. If passengers do not have this document, they must present a negative COVID-19 test. Otherwise, passengers will not be able to enter / leave the airport.
