FLYONE  sends "Notice of default" Sent to SkyUP MT Limited

FLYONE informs the reason for the cancellation of all charter flights contracted by SkyUP MT Limited to the destinations: Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, and Sri Lanka, scheduled until March 29, 2025, inclusive. This measure was taken as a result of multiple instances of non-compliance with financial obligations by the SkyUP group of companies, which consistently failed to honor payments, violated the contractual terms, and generated an exceptionally high debt with an expired due date.

1. Non-compliance with Financial Obligations:

Despite numerous notifications and requests in recent times, SkyUP did not meet its financial commitments to FLYONE. SkyUP received a notification to resolve the situation by March 21, 2025, which was later extended to March 25, 2025. However, SkyUP did not address the issue within the given time frame and did not propose a debt repayment plan. FLYONE is currently evaluating the legal framework to assess the validity of the invalid payment documents received from SkyUP, which claimed to be payments to settle substantial debts. This evaluation will help determine whether a report will be filed with the relevant authorities.

Additionally, due to SkyUP’s failure to meet its financial obligations to other service providers, including the suspension of ground services in Egypt contracted directly by SkyUP, the flights cannot be operated. The handling operator issued a suspension notice to SkyUP for the suspension of services due to significant debts owed to them.

2. Impact on Affected Destinations:

Unfortunately, we cannot deny the major impact of this decision. However, SkyUP and JoinUP should have taken preventive measures to avoid these consequences. Due to the irregularities and uncertainty caused by the bad faith actions of SkyUP and JoinUP, FLYONE was forced to cancel the flights to the aforementioned destinations after exhausting all communication channels and attempts to reach an amicable resolution regarding the settlement of debts by the SkyUP group.

3. Future Collaboration with Unreliable Partners:

FLYONE wishes to emphasize that, given the continued non-compliance with payment terms by SkyUP and JoinUP, we are suspending collaboration with these partners until the outstanding debts are fully clarified. Our company prioritizes passenger safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Future cooperation agreements will be made only with partners who adhere to high standards of professionalism and align with fair and transparent business practices.
