Cheap flights and Cheap Holidays to Samara

Samara, an ancient city on the banks of the Volga, is famous for its Soyuz rockets and Zhigulev beer.

What to visit in Samara?

Samara is an ancient city, it is full of attractions, the visit of which is included in the excursion program for tourists.

Samara embankment is one of the most beautiful places in the city. It stretches along the banks of the Volga for more than 4 km and descends to the river in terraces. Having arrived in the city, many tourists immediately go to the embankment to see the Volga.

Zhiguli Plant is considered one of the most visited sights of the city. The old building - a brewery - was recognized as a monument of urban planning, architecture, and cultural heritage of Russia. Very few tourists miss the opportunity to visit a well-known enterprise and taste fresh beer.

Leningradskaya Street attracts residents and guests of the city, who like to combine leisurely walks with sightseeing of beautiful buildings and architectural monuments. Part of the street is a pedestrian zone. There are many shops, boutiques, hotels, and entertainment venues. Some cafes and restaurants occupy the basements of former merchant mansions that have preserved the atmosphere and flavor of the pre-revolutionary era.

Museum and Exhibition Center "Space Samara"

Samara is the largest center of the space industry. It is here that Soyuz launch vehicles are manufactured, which put satellites and manned spacecraft into orbit. The Soyuz rocket, organically "fitted" into the facade of the museum building, together with it constitutes a single architectural complex. Perhaps this is the most original project that was implemented in the city in the 21st century. Museum "Cosmic Samara" became the winner of the "Tourist Brand of the Samara Region" award.

Like in any other city on the Volga, fishing and various river fish dishes are respected in Samara. In summer, a festival is even held on the embankment, during which the chefs of the most famous restaurants in the city compete in the richness of this tasty and healthy delicacy. However, you can try Volga fish soup at any time of the year, from expensive restaurants to small eateries.
